Can someone please recommend me some good golf clubs for a long beginner?

Here is my problem: I just started getting better with my game and currently just have a standard set purchased from the rack in a store. I'm 6'3 "/ 6'4", but can only play a few times a year, because I live in Wisconsin. I do not have a lot of time for golf, but I enjoy it, I'm not a huge budget is not. I'm trying to decide if I should get fitted (or how since the idea is very intimidating for me because I know I'm not that good yet) or just buy a few clubs to provide additional support for me (Lofted wedges and woods … but I do not know where to find). Give me suggestions I have been on the internet for ages and can not seem to find any good answers! help!
