Scout weapons?

Hello. My friends and I like playing airsoft on the weekends. My question is this. We like to play the scenarios, and I like being the person Scout type who will get information and such, what weapons should be used to simulate a real military browser? I have a gun, but what other weapons that take a browser? A gun shot? A rifle? And if so, what kind? Thanks in advance.

The Scouts have a variety of weapons … to include a few different team served machine guns. The main weapon is the M4 carbine. It's a lot like an M16, but more compact. It is better for close combat.
