Christians, how do you handle contradictions and inconsistencies in the Bible?
Such as: GE 10:5, 20, 31 There were many languages before the Tower of Babel. GE 11:1 There was only one language for the Tower of Babel; EX 20:4 God prohibits the making of graven images whatsoever. EX 25:18 God ordered the making of two graven images. MT 4:18-20, MK 1:16-18 (A story about the choice of Peter as a disciple.) LK 5:2-11 (a different story.) JN 1:35-42 (Still another story.) MT 5:39, MT 5:44 Jesus says: "Do not resist against evil. Love your enemies. "MT 6:15, 12:34, 16:3, 22:18, 23:13-15, 17, 19, 27, 29, 33, 7:6 MK, LK 11:40, 44, Jesus 12:56 swings repeatedly epithets at his opponents. MT 5:39, MT 5:44 Do not resist evil. Love your enemies. LK 19:27 God is compared to someone who destroys his enemies. Etc etc. .. Have you shrug them off? Would you interpret them, so they fit your beliefs? Do you believe every word in the Bible to be true, even though it is full of contradictions? Question is "How do you deal with …?"
The Bible has many seeming contradictions within the pages. For example, the four Gospels give four different accounts as written on the board that hung on the cross. Matthew said: "This is Jesus the King of the Jews" (27:37). However, Mark contradiction that "The King of the Jews "(15:26). Lucas says something else:" This is the king of the Jews "(23:38), and John says that the sign said:" Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews "(19:19). Those who are looking for contradictions may therefore say:" See-the Bible is full of mistakes, "and choose to completely reject as unreliable. However, those who trust in God have no problem harmonizing the Gospels. There is no contradiction if the sign said: "This is the Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews. "The Divine base their confidence on two truths: 1)" All scripture is given by inspiration of God "(2 Timothy 3:16), and 2) an elementary rule of Scripture is that God has deliberately included apparent contradictions in His Word to "snare" the proud. He has "hidden" things from the "wise and prudent" and "babes, she revealed" (Luke 10:21), purposely choosing foolish things to the way (1 Corinthians 1:27 guessing).

Distance Control Amateurs miss the majority of their putts below the hole because they don’t understand or can’t correctly read the direction of the greens grain. RollGroove Technology dramatically reduces the effects of grain by getting the ball rolling on top of the grass quicker with true forward roll, which decreases the friction with the grass. This means your ball will roll out truer and more consistently and your putts will catch the bottom lip of the cup instead of missing below the hole. Royal R. Rife $15.98 Royal Raymond Rife, (6/16/1888 – 8/5/1971), inventor, innovator, researcher, optical technician, microbiologist. A true genius, a man of phenomenal capabilities. Two Journeys $16.98 Itinerant American folk musician Tim O’Brien has been on a tear since 1996’s Red on Blonde, bluegrass interpretations of Bob Dylan songs (and don’t laugh, it stands as one of the very finest Dylan tributes ever recorded). Since that time he has issued collaborations with Dirk Powell and John Hermann (Songs From the Mountain — inspired by the novel Cold Mountain) and Darrell Scott (Real Time), as well as issuing the original inspiration for this recording, The Crossing in 1999, which offered a rootsy musician’s ear-view of how Irish music informed the folk traditions of the American South and found a home in a mutated yet no less soulful form. Two Journeys is The Crossing’s mirror image. This album shows O’Brien — and a company of the British Isles and American South’s finest musicians — looking toward the coastlines of Ireland to express those traditions as they prepared to leave the homeland for the “new world.” Digging deep into his own bag of folk songs, traditional ballads, and a few slick bluegrass moves, O’Brien has managed to tell a story, mostly with his own songs, of the cultural miscegenation that took place in the vast Irish exodus during and after the potato famine. From the opening track, “Turning Around,” we hear the song of a captain in the middle of the Atlantic, looking back on the homeland with a sense of loss, regret, and heartbreak, and toward the new with a shred of hope, fear, and trepidation. This leads into the glorious swagger of “Mick Ryan’s Lament” by Robert Lee Dunlap. The tune extrapolates “Garryowen,” George Custer’s marching song that was likely his final one at Little Big Horn. And then we’re off, deep into the middle ground of a sea rife for the picking with fiddle tunes, jigs, reels, bluegrass, folk-blues and Celtic soul. With help from the aforementioned Yankees, and Paddy Keenan on uilleann pipes, traditional percussionist Kevin Burke, keyboard work from Triona No Drohmnaill, and the vocal support of Karan Casey and Maura O’Connell, O’Brien doesn’t merely create facsimiles of Irish songs, but showcases the log, knotty rope between traditions, being not part one or the other but fully both. The most moving track on the disc, and also its most spooky, is “Demon Lover,” a duet between O’Brien and Casey. It’s a ballad so old it nearly dates antiquity, the rendering here, which doesn’t even resemble modern versions, is chock full of pathos, lust, and regret.
