Poles come in a dizzying array of styles and colors. So many, in fact, that it becomes quite confusing when trying to find out which one is right for you. Cane itself is pretty standard, generally straight and cylindrical. Most often in these days of aluminum. The style is classic and hook is often used on wooden sticks. It provides an ideal grip and versatile, but it is not ergonomic and has added support for the adherence of other styles to provide.

The Derby is ergonomic grip and provides a strong connection stable between the user and sugar cane. With this grip the cane is less likely to be dropped and also offers great control.
