Blue Ski
How long does it take to ski blue runs?
I want a skiing trip with my school in late January to early February, and the is my first time on skis. I'm very athletic and a very quick learner. On the first day, we do 4 hours of ski lessons, followed by 2 hours of skiing on our own. The next day, we do 6 hours of skiing on our own, same with the third day. At what moment during this trip, I will be able to make blue running satisfactorily? Thanks a lot.
Fair question, and how long is a piece of string?! In your group, people will pick things up a second rate (only naturally). If you have never skied before, enjoy the experience, and build your confidence. You will fall down (the law), but do not let that faze you, all does. Depending on where you're going, you can learn on blue runs. These are usually large, open slopes without too many obstacles, but there may be a narrow part of it, or another thing is to keep your focus! Get the most use of the instruction, and after 4 hours, the legs can be a bit tired. Take a break for lunch, and then use the few hours in the afternoon-service practice what you've learned. Do not get carried away and see how fast you can go, or it can end in tears! Relax, enjoy and work hard, and by the third day your confidence and competence to pass.
