I am repainting a car trailer with a air compresser and a paint gun. What pressure from the gun should be set at?
I will be using a type of anti-rust paint rather than automotive paint. If this type of paint to be diluted in order not to clog the nozzle is correct or right use out of the can? I'm also using a gun to the standard rate.

Gun $16.38 Adrian and Paul Gurvitz might be better known for their travels with Ginger Baker in the Baker Gurvitz Army, but in the late ’60s the brothers helmed the heavy rock trio Gun and caught a whiff of success in the U.K. with their debut single “Race with the Devil.” Using the less-ethnic surname Curtis, Adrian (guitar) and Paul (bass) teamed up with drummer Louis Farrell and pounded out some distinctive psych-flavored proto-metal. Floating about in the mix along with the guitar pyrotechnics and drum workouts are brass and string sections that aren’t always welcome, but “Race with the Devil” uses these potentially square instruments well, adding texture to an otherwise brutal stomp. “Yellow Cab Man” is the highlight of the set, a hard pop number with a buzzing guitar hook and frantic, heavily distorted soloing from Adrian. The obligatory freak-out comes with the finale, the 11-minute “Take Off” which begins with the sound of jet roar, then explodes into feedback, drum solos, backward guitars, and silly psychedelic exhortations to “take a deep breath and try to count to five.” Elsewhere are half-baked orchestral interludes and some questionable songwriting chops, but the band is truly firing on all cylinders throughout and their interplay is solid like a fist. When Gun pours it on, the results are visceral and exciting enough to forgive the occasional wrong turn. The album artwork is impressively grotesque for the era, a flaming mass of squirming demons that wouldn’t be out of place on a Slayer T-shirt today. There isn’t any Satanism invoked in the grooves of Gun, but it’s a lost gem for fans of the power trio format. ~ Fred Beldin, All Music GuidePerformers: Paul Curtis – Bass; Louis Farrell – Drums; Adrian Gurvitz – Guitar; Paul Gurvitz – Bass, Guitar, Vocals |

This Gun for Hire $10.02 Though billed fourth in This Gun For Hire, Alan Ladd was catapulted to stardom in the role of Phillip Raven, a ruthless professional killer with a long-suppressed streak of decency. After successfully pulling off his latest murder, Raven reports to his boss, effeminate fifth columnist Willard Gates (Laird Cregar). He collects his $1000 fee, only to discover later that Gates has double-crossed him with marked bills. This was done at the behest of Gates’ boss, crooked business executive Alvin Bewster (Tully Marshall), who wants no loose ends left around to connect him with a plot to sell poison gas to the Axis. As Raven ducks and dodges the police, detective Michael Crane (Robert Preston) is hot on the trail of Bewster and Gates. Crane talks his girlfriend, nightclub singer-musician Ellen Graham (Veronica Lake), into taking a job at Gates’ nightclub. While on the train to the club, Ellen makes the acquaintance of the escaping Raven. Gates boards the train, spots Ellen innocently sitting next to Raven, and assumes that the two are in cahoots. Later, Gates kidnaps Ellen and spirits her away to his mansion, intending to do away with her the first chance he gets. Instead, Raven, still seeking revenge for being set up, bursts into the mansion in search of Gates. Having previously been impressed by Ellen’s kindness, he rescues her, though he intends using her as hostage should the police catch up with him. As they hide out together in the rail yards, Ellen and Raven get to know each other. Learning of Raven’s miserable, abusive childhood, Ellen tries to chip away his murderous veneer, hoping to reform him. But when the cops arrive, Raven reverts to his instincts, shooting his way out of his hiding place. As Crane escorts Ellen out of harm’s way, Raven rushes towards a bloody showdown with Bewster and Gates. Based on Graham Greene’s A Gun For Sale, This Gun For Hire was remade in 1958 as Short Cut to Hell, then again under the original title as a 1990 made-for-TV film. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide |

Year of the Gun $9.99 Andrew McCarthy stars as freelance journalist David Raybourne in John Frankenheimer’s adaptation of Michael Mewshaw’s novel. The film is set in 1978 Rome, the time of the terroristic Red Brigade, and David is in the midst of writing a novel involving terrorist characters. He meets a number of journalists and photographers through his connection to the city’s English-language newspaper, among them Lisa Spinelli (Valeria Golino), a journalist with inherited wealth, and Alison King (Sharon Stone), a well-known photographer. He falls in love with Lisa, slowly becoming aware that she may be involved with the terrorists. Seemingly by accident, his novel falls into the hands of the Red Brigade, and its plot, which revolves around the assassination of an Aldo Moro-like figure, bears an eerie similarity to the group’s plans for the Italian prime minister. Since he has humorously named many of the characters after his local friends, his book may create problems for them. However, no one, least of all the Red Brigade, seems to believe his claims of ignorance and innocence. YEAR OF THE GUN is an interesting stab at a Hitchcockian wrong-man thriller, with Sharon Stone and Valeria Golino fun to watch as they chase around the beautifully photographed Rome locations. |

Exploring Gun Use in America $185.48 Gun control is one of the most hotly debated topics in America today. As the newsmedia reports stories of office rage, school shootings, sniper attacks, and other types of gun violence, many citizens are demanding stricter laws for firearms, if not an outright ban. Yet many other citizens are demanding protection for their Second Amendment rights, or the right to own a firearm for sports such as hunting, or for protection. This four-volume set discusses in detail the many different viewpoints Americans have about guns. Following an in-depth examination of the history of gun use and the Second Amendment, the set describes the most important Supreme Court cases and major gun control legislation. It devotes an entire volume to the firearms industry, its history and the current pressures to provide "safe" guns with safety locks and other smart features. Another volume focuses on children and their relationship with guns, both as victims and as users of guns. The final volume looks at public opinion, examining the gun culture in America, the NRA, the Brady Bill, and other efforts to regulate gun use. The Gun Control Debate $3.98 At the end of the twentieth century and into the twenty-first, highly publicized gun massacres, especially in schools, have maintained "gun control" as a hotly contested, peculiarly American, political and cultural debate. Featuring selections from historians, criminologists, social scientists, public health specialists, and jurists, Dr. Nisbet offers an in-depth analysis of the central questions involved in America’s debate concerning the further restriction or even prohibition of presently legally owned guns. Providing a set of critical-thinking questions that focus on key issues in the gun control debate, Nisbet helps readers to evaluate gun control issues more deeply and thoroughly than is possible using the popular media’s portrayal of the controversy. Among the questions addressed are: Does the availability of guns influence levels, patterns, and concentrations of violent crime? If so, how, and with what policy implications? Does more guns equal more or less crime? Do guns kept for self-defense menace gun owners and their families more than protect them? Is mass media coverage of gun control issues biased? If so, how, and in what direction? How should we interpret the Second Amendment? Does the gun debate reflect an underlying cultural conflict between groups who detest each other’s values and lifestyles? Containing twenty-nine new articles and an entirely new section on the media entitled "The Gun Control Debate in the Age of (Mis)information," this new edition provides the most up-to-date research on a hotly contested topic. The contributors include: B. Bruce-Briggs, Phillip J. Cook, Barry Glassner, Gordon Hawkins, Richard Hofstadter, Don B. Kates Jr., Gary Kleck, David Kopel, John Lott, Joyce Malcolm, Garry Wills, Franklin E. Zimring, and many more. No matter what side of the debate you’re on, this outstanding collection of articles will help you understand the complexities of this intensely controversial issue. |

Hour of the Gun $11.36 John Sturges revisits a subject that he had explored a decade earlier with GUNFIGHT AT THE O.K. CORRAL, and this more melancholy version reflects the troubled period in which it was made. Set in 1888 in the aftermath of the historic gunfight, it stars James Garner as legendary sheriff Wyatt Earp. The surviving Clanton, Ike, has Wyatt and his brothers, Virgil (Frank Converse) and Morgan (Sam Melville), and their alcoholic, gunslinger friend, Doc Holiday (Jason Robards Jr.) arrested for murder. The charges are quickly dismissed, and Virgil accepts an offer to run for marshal of Tombstone. But he’s trapped by some of Clanton’s men and is so seriously injured that he has to step down. After Morgan offers to take his brother’s place on the ballot, he’s killed. Wyatt is appointed as federal marshal, and he and Doc round up a posse to go after Ike Clanton. Wyatt now displays a grim ruthlessness that disturbs even his hard-bitten friend, while Doc suddenly begins hemorrhaging and realizes that he has to go to a sanatorium or die. This inspired look at Western vengeance features a terrific cast, including Garner, Robards, Robert Ryan, Albert Salmi, and a young Jon Voight, in his film debut. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. Year of the Gun (DVD) $7.23 Andrew McCarthy stars as freelance journalist David Raybourne in John Frankenheimer's adaptation of Michael Mewshaw's novel. The film is set in 1978 Rome, the time of the terroristic Red Brigade, and David is in the midst of writing a novel involving terrorist characters. He meets a number of journalists and photographers through his connection to the city's English-language newspaper, among them Lisa Spinelli (Valeria Golino), a journalist with inherited wealth, and Alison King (Sharon Stone), a well-known photographer. He falls in love with Lisa, slowly becoming aware that she may be involved with the terrorists. Seemingly by accident, his novel falls into the hands of the Red Brigade, and its plot, which revolves around the assassination of an Aldo Moro-like figure, bears an eerie similarity to the group's plans for the Italian prime minister. Since he has humorously named many of the characters after his local friends, his book may create problems for them. However, no one, least of all the Red Brigade, seems to believe his claims of ignorance and innocence. YEAR OF THE GUN is an interesting stab at a Hitchcockian wrong-man thriller, with Sharon Stone and Valeria Golino fun to watch as they chase around the beautifully photographed Rome locations.DVD Features:Region 1 EncodingKeep CaseTheatrical Trailers: YEAR OF THE GUN, GLORIA (Sharon Stone version), THE QUICK AND THE DEAD |

Samurai Gun – The Complete Collection – 3-Disc Set (DVD) $42.74 Based on a manga by Kazuhiro Kumagai, the extremely violent and strangely anachronistic anime series SAMURAI GUN reimagines the pivotal moment when ancient Japan first confronted the changing winds of Western modernity. In the mid-19th century, Japan is still awash in its feudal customs, with lawless and corrupt samurai marauders roaming the nocturnal countryside, brutally slaughtering innocent (and mostly female) victims with traditional swords and spears. Enter lone wolf Ichimatsu, a moody young man who decides to battle the evil shogunate with a newly invented weapon: guns. The ensuing gunfight action sequences play out against a dusty backdrop of saloons and brothels for a decidedly spaghetti Western-like feel–albeit one with copious amounts of graphic violence and sadism toward women. The 13-part series is presented in its entirety with this collection of episodes. |

Jefferson and the Gun-Men $16.98 Contrary to popular opinion, the opening of the American frontier was not a simple land purchase; it was actually a hardscrabble fight. Even as Meriwether Lewis and William Clark set out on their legendary journey to the Pacific Ocean, other forces were taking the measure of the land with far darker ambitions. Aaron Burr, the charming and treacherous former vice president, determined that if he could not be master of his nation, he would instead become emperor of the next best thing: the Louisiana Territory. Slyly working with the powerful and ambitious commander of the U.S. Army, General James Wilkinson, Burr instigated a plot to seize not only Louisiana, but all of Mexico as well. Told from a time when the wildest plots and the most grandiose dreams thrived, as schemers and revolutionaries conspired to create a new country, Jefferson and the Gun-Men is the riveting tale of this unlikely story |

The Cowboy with the Tiffany Gun $3.48 The cowboy is the American knight, so it would follow that tales of knighthood can provide the inspiration for stories about cowboys and the basis for this grand and dazzlingly innovative epic of the old American West by the celebrated author and screenwriter of Urban Cowboy. Inspired by Sir Percival’s great quest for the Holy Grail, Aaron Latham has crafted a classic adventure story set among the tumbleweeds of the American West at the twilight of the nineteenth century. It is first and foremost the coming-of-age story of an innocent — a fledgling cowboy, that singularly American update on the archetypal knight of old. Featuring characters from Latham’s acclaimed Code of the West, The Cowboy with the Tiffany Gun is his most exhilarating performance yet. Our young hero is Percy — but he prefers his nickname, Pyg, short for Percy York Goodnight. When he learns that the man called Loving has been shot and is near death, Percy and his mother, Revelie, rush away to be by Loving’s side in Texas. Long ago, Revelie shared with Loving a bond of great passion. Mother and son arrive to find Loving gravely ill — and to discover that an heirloom ax has disappeared from the ranch. According to Western lore, this was the very ax that Jimmy Goodnight, Percy’s presumed father, once pulled out of an anvil. The ax was stolen from the cemetery, where it had been imbedded in Goodnight’s tombstone. The stone is gone, too. Latham’s historically authentic narrative takes off on a rousing gallop here as Pyg vows to find the ax and must face trials and calamities of a Biblical scale — flood, fire, gunfights, and the devastating pestilence that changed the course of frontier history. Of Code of the West, James M. McPherson wrote that "Latham has pulled off the seemingly impossible." With The Cowboy with the Tiffany Gun, he has done it again. |

Antonio’s Gun and Delfino’s Dream $19.48 Sam Quinones?s first book, True Tales From Another Mexico, was acclaimed for the way it peered into the corners of that country for its larger truths and complexities. Antonio?s Gun and Delfino?s Dream, Quinones?s second collection of nonfiction tales, does the same for one of the most important issues of our times: the migration of Mexicans to the United States.Quinones has covered the world of Mexican immigrants for the last thirteen years–from Chicago to Oaxaca, Michoacan to southeast Los Angeles, Tijuana to Texas. Along the way, he has uncovered stories that help illuminate all that Mexicans seek when they come north, how they change their new country, and are changed by it.Here are the stories of the Henry Ford of velvet painting in Ciudad Juarez, the emergence of opera in Tijuana, the bizarre goings-on in the L.A. suburb of South Gate, and of the drug-addled colonies of Old World German Mennonites in Chihuahua. Through it all winds the tale of Delfino Juarez, a young construction worker, and modern-day Huckleberry Finn, who had to leave his village to change it."Sam Quinones is a border legend. For those in the know, his reportage has been cause for celebration. Now, with Antonio’s Gun and Delfino’s Dream he takes us behind the lines and undercover. He puts a human face on ‘illegal immigration,’ and he gives us stunning stories of survival and dread. However, he accomplishes something more valuable than a mere parade of sensational set pieces–Quinones starts to put the complex issues in the light of understanding and hard-won wisdom."–Luis A. Urrea, author of The Devil’s Highway and The Hummingbird’s Daughter |

Bolan’s Zip Gun $15.98 Having reinvented himself as a bionic soulboy across the course of 1974’s Zinc Alloy, Bolan’s Zip Gun was less a reiteration of Marc Bolan’s new direction than a confirmation of it. Much of the album returns to the understated romp he had always excelled at — the delightful knockabout “Precious Star,” the unrepentant boogie of “Till Dawn” and the pounding title track all echo with the effortless lightheartedness which was Bolan at his most carelessly buoyant, while “Token of My Love” is equally incandescent, a playful blues which swiftly became a major in-concert favorite. But the essence of Zip Gun remains firmly in the funky pastures which characterized Zinc Alloy, with the only significant difference lying in the presentation. Out went the plush production which so diluted the earlier set, to be replaced by a sparser sound which emphasized the rhythms, heightened the backing vocals, and left rock convention far behind. “Light of Love,” “Golden Belt” and the heavyweight ballad “I Really Love You Babe” may not be Stax-sized attractions, but they have an earthy authenticity nevertheless, while bonus tracks on the Edsel remaster include single-only stabs at “Dock of the Bay” and “Do You Wanna Dance,” further indications of just how seriously Bolan was taking his new role — and how far he’d moved from the bopping elf of three years earlier. The difference was, in 1972, Marc Bolan was a God. By 1975, he was barely even a minor deity. It was, of course, the old, old story. When he made records that sounded like the old ones, the kids all complained he’d stagnated and lost it. When he made records that didn’t sound like them, then they moaned even louder that things just weren’t the same. So he made ones that fell smack between the two poles, and that wasn’t right either. And yet, played back to back alongside the “classics,” there ain’t much wrong with any of them. Whatever was the fuss all about, then? Decades on, each of Bolan’s latter day albums retain a hint of their original controversy, but hindsight lends them an impact (and, for what it’s worth, a credibility) which contemporary listeners could never have imagined. And Zip Gun, an album which scored the worst reviews of all, hits as hard as any of them. ~ Dave Thompson, All Music GuidePerformers: Gloria Jones – Clavinet, Vocals; Marc Bolan – Guitar, Vocals; Steve Currie – Bass; Dino Dines – Keyboards; Paul Fenton – Drums; |
